It was an ODI match against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens in 2009. Team India was chasing a huge target of 315 runs set by Sri Lanka. While chasing the target, India lost their openers Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag early.
Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli added a record partnership of 224 runs. Both of them reached their hundreds. Virat Kohli got out on 107 but Gambhir remained unbeated at 150 runs. As expected, Gambhir was awarded as man of the match. He didnt received it but shared with Virat Kohli, who scored his maiden 100 in such a crucial stage.
