Dilshan (55 off 47 balls) and Jayawardene’s (89 off 51 balls) entertaining 145 partnership was broken by Yorker specialist Chris Jordan. This pair smashed 15 fours and 5 sixes.

Gayle’s opening partner Dwayne Smith (35 off 35 balls) batted calmly and enjoyed Gayle’s innings from the other end. Chris Gayle and Dwayne Smith added 145 runs for 1st wicket. In the 14th over, Vernon Philander broken the 1st wicket partnership by dismissing Dwayne Smith. This pair smashed 11 maximums and 10 fours.

Sri Lankan legends Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara dominated West Indies bowlers to score a massive 166-run partnership for 2nd wicket in the 2010 World T20. Sri Lanka batted first and they lost Sanath Jayasuriya early, but Jayawardene and Sangakkara hold of the match. Sangakkara (68 off 49 balls) and Mahela Jayawardene (98 off 56 runs) helped their team to reach the huge total of 195/3. They smashed 14 fours and 7 sixes in their world record stand.
