Misbah-ul-Haq becomes 1st captain to score a century at the age of 42 or more in Tests.
Pakistan elected to bat first against England in the first Test at the home of cricket, Lord’s, London. Pakistan openers Hafee and Masood opened the innings for Pakistan but failed to accelerate it. England’s Chris Woakes removed both the openers (Hafeez 40 and Masood 7). Younis Khan and Misbha made some runs and after scored 50 runs partnership, Younis khan was caught by Ali.
At one stage, Pakistan were 134/4, but Misbha still fighting with England bowlers as he scored his hundred at home of cricket. Misbah-ul-Haq becomes 1st captain to score a century at the age of 42 or more in Tests. Misbha and Shafiq added 100+ partnerships for 5th wicket 7 times from 33 innings. He has the most centuries as a Pakistan captain in Tests (8 centuries).
