The forthcoming auction of the Indian Premier League will be the biggest one since the inaugural auction of Indian Premier League in 2008. Most of the star players will go under the hammer ahead of the Indian Premier League 2018.
The two franchise have supported for the open auction ahead of the Indian Premier League but the IPL council yet to make any comment on it. But according to report, a franchise can retain three players for IPL 2018. If the reports are to be believed, the two time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders would like to retain these players. If BCCI impose teams to retain only one player then KKR will go with Gautam Gambhir without any other choice. He changed the fortunes of Kolkata Knight Riders after becoming the captain of the KKR franchise. Kolkata Knight Riders claimed two IPL titles under his captaincy and also the runners of Champions League T20.
The left-hander from Delhi performing consistently for Kolkata Knight Riders as captain in the Indian Premier League. He had the good average of 41 during the last IPL season.
The West Indies’ mystery spinner is another star player for Kolkata Knight Riders. He performs brilliantly for KKR in the last 5 seasons. When Kolkata Knight Riders won their first IPL title, Sunil Narine picked up 24 wickets followed by 22 wickets in 2013. In 2014, he helped KKR to win the title again by picked 21 wickets in the tournament.
After changing his bowling style, he is not picking quick wickets like past but bowls at good economy without leaking much runs. But, he contributes his team with his hard-hitting batting skills in the last IPL season. So, they will surely retain Sunil Narine for the next season of IPL.
The Indian Cricket Team’s one of the star player Kuldeep Yadav did not get much chance from KKR management to showcase his talent. But, he showed his capabality after he got a chance to play for Indian team. Currently, he is one of the key player for Indian Cricket Team. So, to increase the bowling strength of Kolkata Knight Riders in future, they will retain Kuldeep Yadav for IPL 2018.
