India is currently playing against New Zealand in first of the three One-day International series. The first match of the ODI series is being played in Wankhede, Mumbai. The skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first.

The Indian team struggled after losing the openers wicket too early. Kedar Jadhav, who came to crease to make a partnership with Kohli, went back to pavilion with just 12 runs. Then the Tamil Nadu player Dinesh Karthik played a good knock of 37 runs and added 70 runs with Virat Kohli for 5th wicket.

When everyone in the team fails to score run, this man never ever fails to score. This match is the 200th One-day Internaional game for the Indian skipper Virat Kohli. So, he made this day to remember by scoring a brilliant century.

Virat Kohli scored his 31st century in the One-day International format. With this century, he surpassed Australia’s former captain Ricky Ponting, who had scored 30 centuries. Currently, Virat Kohli is at the 2nd spot in the list of most ODI centuries which is leading by Sachin Tendulkar (49 centuries).

The skipper who is playing his 200th ODI, scored a brilliant century. The another player who scored a century in 200th ODI game was Virat Kohli’s team mate AB De Villiers. Both Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers are the best batsmen in the ODI format.
