The Rising Pune Supergiants have lost one of the most consistent player in this season. Faf du Plessis has been ruled out of the IPL 9 due to the finger injury.
Earlier, RPSG’s big man Kevin Pietersen ruled out of this season due to calf injury. Its a big lose for Rising Pune Supergiants. Now, with opener Faf du Plessis being injured, the Supergiants have a major dent in their batting order.
Faf du Plessis announced his exit from the tournament on his Twitter account. He tweeted, “And so my Ipl tournament unfortunately comes to and end.Broken finger and out for 6 weeks.Thanx India and @RPSupergiants it’s been fun.”
Faf du Plessis is the second highest scorer for RPS after Ajinkya Rahane. He had scored 206 runs in 6 matches including 2 fifties at an average of 34.33 and his strike-rate is 127.16. Its tough to find the replacement for Kevin Pietersen and Faf du Plessis.
