Mumbai High Court’s ruling to shift all the IPL matches after April 30 out of Maharashtra because of heavy drought. Kolkata to stage the Eliminator game and the second Qualifier game, both originally scheduled in Pune.

CAB secretary Subir Ganguly had told PTI on Wednesday, “We are not going to go up and say anything but in case BCCI wants Eden to host the final, we are always ready.

The IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla has reportedly recommended to the IPL governing council that the 2016 IPL final be held in Bangalore.

Should these recommendations be ratified by the governing council, Bangalore will host the first Qualifier and the final while Kolkata will host the Eliminator and the second Qualifier.

Mumbai will decide their alternative venue on Sunday; their options are Jaipur, Raipur and Kanpur.

“After speaking to the franchises, we have given them four options: Raipur, Jaipur, Kanpur and Visakhapatnam. Mumbai Indians have asked for time till day after tomorrow,” Shukla said. “Pune has given Visakhapatnam as its preference. We will put the proposal of Pune team before the governing council.”
